Inbox Help
Why is managing my inbox important?

Managing your inbox is key to running a successful business. Rover offers you the tools you need to stay organized and on top of every request. Below, we'll cover:

Archiving Requests (Why, When, and How)

Archive any requests you can't book--but be sure to reply to the pet owner first! Replying is important because if you don’t respond to an initial message within 72 hours, your sitter profile may automatically be set to away until you manually update your status. It's also important to archive requests you can't book because when an unbooked request sits in your inbox for 72 hours or longer, that tells us that you’re too busy or unavailable. As a result, you may not appear in search for those dates, meaning potential pet owners won’t be able to find you.

How to Archive a Request

1. Navigate to your Inbox by selecting the conversation icon.

Response Rate

Your response rate measures how often you respond to requests within 24 hours. This is one of many factors that impacts your search rank, so responding to requests quickly is important to building your pet care services and being seen by pet owners.
