Starting January 2026, when requesting pet care, your Pet Care code will be worth 6 back-up care credits. Any previous vouchers worth £100 will be honored through its expiration date.

How do I request back-up pet care?
You can request this in your Bright Horizons Back-Up Care portal. Once you do this, you'll receive a Pet Care code via email from Bright Horizons.
Can I share my Pet Care credits / use other employee Pet Care credits?

Pet Care Credit FAQs
Does my Pet Care Credit expire?
Yes. The Back-Up Care Program is designed for you to request care when you need it, and the expiration date of these credits can't be extended. Pet Care credits should be used within 90 days of receiving the email from Bright Horizons.
What happens to my Pet Care credits if my booking gets cancelled?
If you cancel or modify your booking within the sitter’s cancellation policy, you will receive a partial refund for the first 7 days of the stay, as applicable.
Can I use my Pet Care credits on a booking that starts further out than 90 days?
Bright Horizons Pet Care credits must be applied to a booking that starts before their expiration date. For example, if you received a Pet Care code from Bright Horizons that expires on June 28, your booking must start before that date.
What services can I pay with my Pet Care credits?
- Dog Walk = 1 or more credits for a 30 minute walk for the first pet
- Drop-In Visit = 1 or more credits for a 30 minute visit for the first pet
- Doggy Day Care = 2 or more credits for the first pet
- Boarding = 3 or more credits for 24 hours of care for the first pet
- House sitting = 3 or more credits for 24 hours of care for the first pet
The number of credits depends on the sitter’s rate for each service.
Does my Pet Care credit work for any service on Rover?
Pet Care credits cannot be used for recurring services, and for the following add-ons:
- 60-minute walks and drop-in visits
- Pick-up & drop-off
- Extended care
What if I’m booking for multiple pets?
Additional credits will be charged for each additional pet added to a stay to match the value of the sitter’s rate.
Can I combine my Pet Care credits with other promotional codes?
Some promotions may be combined with Pet Care credits, and the final eligibility will be shown at checkout.
Can I apply more than one Pet Care credit to a booking?
Yes, you can combine Pet Care credits on a single booking.
I’m having trouble applying my Pet Care credits to a booking on Rover, what should I do?

What if I still have Bright Horizons £100 credits on my account?
You can still use your £100 credits before they expire. You have two options for using them:
- You can combine them with your Pet Care credits: the £100 credits will only apply to the out-of-pocket costs.
- If you’d like to book solely using your £100 credits, use the 'Save for later' option when submitting payment for your booking, to be able to use your Pet Care credits on a future booking.
